SIMGAM Version History
SIMGAM - COMPTEL Photon Simulation
- Version 21 (4-Nov-1996 at MPE)
- Corrects error in 27Mg decay mode.
- Updates handling of beta-particle energy spectrum.
- 22Na background.
- UNH-IDT-1020 and MPE-IDT-10025 interchangeable for all modes.
- Version 20 (13-Sep-1996)
- IBEAM = 13 : 28Al, single photon plus beta.
- IBEAM = 14 : 27Mg, two photons plus beta (branching
ration slightly incorrect.
- Both new modes require UNH-IDT-1020,
- Version 19 (23-Aug-1996)
- 40K mode (requires MPE-IDT-10025, which provides more
deatiled mass distribution for d1 PMTs).
- 24Na cascade event simulation now includes beta particle
(requires UNH-IDT-1020).
- IBEAM limitations removed so that new modes could be used.
- Version 18 (30-Jul-1996)
- Version 17 (6-May-1996)
- Corrects GEANT initialization problem that existed in versions
15 and 16.
- D1 backgrond mode modified to work properly with high resolution
mass models.
- Version 16 (12-Apr-1996)
- Secondary particle generation now performed in all materials.
- Added "wide beam" input geometry for telescope mode.
- Increased GEANT memory allocation to handle more complicated
mass model structures.
- Version 15 (6-Mar-1996)
- Added use of GEANT 3.21
- Updated algorithm for diffuse source simulation. Photon beam
is now constant area for all angles.
- ToF computed using energy-averaged start/stop times.
