How do we know what we think we know? I do Bayesian inference in astrophysics (check out the Baysian Inference in the Physical Sciences Web Page), and the Harvard AstroStat Web Page ), and apply it to: gamma-ray bursts; solar flares; pulsars; difficult imaging+background, timing+background, and spectra+background problems. I do this with X-ray and gamma-ray data, such as that from The Compton Telescope on the Compton Gamma-Ray Observatory. I also do public outreach, such as The Exciting News from Space Project, with The Christa McAuliffe Planetarium.
